Managing your account:
A: Your Ulimit ID is the email address associated with your domain name. For example, if your domain name is foobar.com4.ws, your ID is foobar@com4.ws
Q: How can I manage my Ulimit account and change my home page address?
A: Everything you need to manage your account is in the Ulimit Members section (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu)
Q: Where is the Ulimit members section?
A: You can access the members page from Ulimit's main menu by clicking on Members.
Q: I can't login to manage my account. What should I do?
A: Please check that your browser is configured to accept cookies. This is required to access the member pages. If you are an AOL user, please use Netscape or Internet Explorer instead of the AOL browser, as some versions are known to have bugs related to cookies.
Q: How can I ceate my favicon?
A: Just go to the Ulimit Members page (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu) and click on "Change your Meta Tags."
Q: How can I insert a counter in my page?
A: Just go to the Ulimit Members page (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu) and click on "Create and manage your Counter."

A: Just go to the Ulimit Members page (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu) and click on "Create and manage your Polls."
Q: How can I change my META tags?
A: Just go to the Ulimit Members page (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu) and click on "Change your Meta Tags."
A: No, you don't need to insert these lines in your page. The HTML snippet was just to show you what will automatically be generated for you by Ulimit.
Q: I have lost my password. What should I do?
A: Just go to the Ulimit Members page (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu) and click on "You have forgotten your password." to have Ulimit email you a new pasword.
If you don't have access to the email address you registered with anymore, email support@ulimit.com to receive your password. You need to include information about your account in your email to prove that you really are the account's owner. Please state the name (first and last) and address you used to register, as well as the date of your registration. Don't forget to include the name of your Ulimit domain name!
Q: I wish to delete my domain name. How can I do that?
A: J ust go to the Ulimit Members page (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu) and click on "Remove this domain name."
Account activation
Q: I have not received my activation code.
A: You have probably typed your email address incorrectly when you registered for your Ulimit domain name. Send a message to support@ulimit.com describing the problem. Don't forget to include your domain name in the email.
A: It looks like you have already activated your domain name. You don't need to do anything else.
Q: How can I find out if my domain name has been activated?
A: Check if your domain name is redirected. If so, then it is active. If not, please check your settings in the members section.
Q: How much time do I have to activate my domain name?
A: You have 4 days to activate your domain name after you have created it. Past that deadline, your domain name will automatically be destroyed and you will have to register your domain name again from scratch if you wish to use it.
Q: I registered my domain name more than 4 days ago but did not activate it. Is this a problem?
A: You need to register your domain name again from scratch. Domain names that are not activate within 4 days are automatically destroyed.
Web redirect
A: Your new address is active, but your browser must have cached the old address. It should be fine in a few hours, but if you want to see the change now, you can force your browser to clean its cache by hitting the Shift key while you press the reload/refresh button of your browser.
Q: I can't access my site anymore! What's going on?
A: First, find out if the problem is coming from your provider by entering the address to which your domain is redirected instead of your Ulimit domain name directly. If this works, and you think that the problem might be coming from Ulimit, please email support@ulimit.com.
A: It looks like someone managed to gain access to your password. Check if someone has access to your email account, as that is the only way to get your Ulimit password. Make sure to change your password as soon as possible.
Q: How can my Ulimit domain name appear in the title bar instead of my provider's?
A: Just go to the Ulimit Members section (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu).
A: There are 3 possiblilities:
- vous have not yet activated your domain name
- your domain name has been locked by Ulimit following a complaint or because it did not follow Ulimit's charter
- you have not entered an address for your home page in the Members section.
Q: How can I view the emails sent to my Ulimit address?
A: Any email sent to your Ulimit address will automatically be redirected to the address you registered with. To change this address, go to the Ulimit Members page (you can get to it from Ulimit's main menu) and click on "Change your forwarding email address."
Q: How can I send emails with my Ulimit email address showing up as the sender?
A: Just change the from setting in your mailer to your Ulimit address. Keep all the other settings the same as for your provider.

Q: Does Ulimit host web pages?
A: No. Ulimit does not host web pages. Ulimit provides virtual domain names with web and email redirection, as other tools for your website such as polls and counters.

Q: How can I access Ulimit's FTP server?
A: Ulimit does not have an FTP server. Ulimit does not host web pages.

A: You can do pretty much whatever you want with your domain name as long as you follow the Ulimit charter, are not spamming and remain within the legal boundaries of your country. You may register several domain names as long as it is only a small number (less than 10).
Q: Can I point my Ulimit domain to the server on my own computer rather than to my provider?
A: Yes, just make sure you have a permanent connection and a fixed IP address.
A: This is a hoax. Don't ever give your password away to anyone, and don't enter it in any forms that appear on pages outside of www.ulimit.com.

You also need to register your site with the various search engines. Usually, you will find a link on their main pages to add your site/URL.
